Finally I bought the external battery for Padfone suitable for charging it via microUSB (phone only) or via ASUS cable (tablet).

It is EasyAcc 15000mAh External Battery Pack, it has 5V and 12V ports, package includes also the cable with Asus connector:

I bough it at Amazon.co.uk.
It works as expected and I hope its capacity is enough to get enough juice for long flights, including time in train to get to Schiphol and waiting for boarding .

Never heard of the Asus EEE EPad XD

But don't you have a keyboard dock?

Yes, I have the keyboard dock and I used it as extra battery before I bought this item. The dock is less convenient for me in economy and even economy comfort seat than external battery + tablet.

P.S. The EEEEPad cable works independently of its name .

Ah, ok

And the EEE EPad, it should've been EEE Pad, I was just point that out (I've had the TF101 before the Padfone, so I know they're the same)...
