I have to agree with the sentiment here. In reality, there is VERY little difference between these devices from a driver perspective. Additionally, Padfones come with a near-vanilla Android. Not providing Android updates is ASUS's way of driving sales. I jumped ship from HTC because of their policy in this regard. But now HTC seem to have gotten much better, and ASUS gotten much worse. Pity. I like the hardware. On the other hand, I like HTC hardware too, and there was a strong community behind Cyanogen support for HTC devices. Three guesses for which company I won't consider when upgrading next ...

Let's welcome the Padfone S.. The international version of Padfone X.. Which I will not even touch before ASUS gives me my KitKat for my Padfone 2 and PFI and maybe if by any chance my Padfone (1).
