Can you tell us some changes you have noticed? The update is not on the Asus website yet.

''' v11.8.4.6 released for WWE and TW SKUs - 21 JUL 14 '''
''' Bugs for v11.8.4.6 '''

-> Be very careful with this release - it may overwrite your SKU with the WWE one as I have a HK SKU which was overwritten by the WWE SKU by OTA.

Issues which appear to be resolved by this release (according to Asus's website) are :

1. Fix tearing while scrolling the photos or articles
2. Fix the sound to become smaller occasionally after inserting headphones
3. Fix image quality issue while taking a photo in the dark place
4. Fix photo with green stripes occasionally while recording and then taking a snap shot
5. Fix ringtone to be displayed "none" while the default alarm tone was set (Deep)
6. Add Polaris Office
7. Add PC Link

Personally I never experienced any of these issues, and within installing 5 minutes of installing the 11.8.4.6 update I received my first crash

On the plus side the battery does not get very warm anymore when the phone is switched off.

Does it wipe data?

If you download from Asus I mean.

It didn't, all data still there.

Xmoo posted this link in another thread http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/Mobile_Phone/PadFone2/WWE_PadFone2_user_11_8_4_6_UpdateLauncher.zip

I installed with this file and it worked great. Everything seems stable and nice so far.

Ditto, the phone seems a lot more slick with the update. I have only been running on the update for about 12 hours now, but all issues seem to be gone.

I did not experience the flickering while scrolling like others did. But my battery/phone did get very warm and battery life was horrible. The sound was a bit flaky with the volume levels. It all seems to have gone back to normal with this update. I also think the touch reponse is a bit more fluent, but that may be placebo effect as i have not seen anyone else commenting on that.

Cudos to asus for fixing it rather quickly.

Hi guys!
I am new owner of PadFone 2!
I've updated it to 11.8.3.3, and then, one day after, I've read it here that there is 11.8.4.6, and I upgraded it ot that firmware.
Everything is working perfectly! Very fast and stable!

But I've noticed one strange behaviour.
When I connect PadFone to the station, and then remove it, my hardware keys do light up only part of a second when i touch screen. I'ts very hard to find keys in dark, especially while this is new phone to me...
After restart, background light is here again on default 2 seconds.

I don't know if I had this problem before, because I upgraded it the minute I received it...

Does any of you have this problem?

Should I try factory reset? (I don't want to, I was "customizing" my phone last 3 days )

Is anybody experiencing everything stopping to work? Ever since i turned on smart saving and rebooted my phone, every single app stops working even before i turn it on, the process google.com.gapps stops working, android.process.media stops working, and the notification won't stop. I can't change any settings as well as it keeps on returning to the state when it broke.

It's been happening since the 11.8.3.3 and I've updated it to the 11.8.4.6 and nothing changed.

Had the same issue with previous update. Hard reset was only solution.
