By then the NPFI a will be two years old. It would make Asus unique among Android phone makers if they would make L available on the NPFI. Realistically speaking: will never happen.
Now NPFI is only one year old and if they told the people that they wont release it for NPFI Asus's sales will drop a lot because of their short software support of their devices, so it is around 80-90% sure that they will make Lollipop available for NPFI by my opinion.
It took them one year to release KK for the NPFI. That means the NPFI will be two years old by the time they're ready to release L. I don't think the NPFI has sold in big numbers. That's why Asus is putting so little effort in keeping us owners happy. That's why they are not releasing an unlocked recovery for it.
Earlier this year, the Transformer Book V was announced. If it comes out, this will replace the NPFI since it's a Zenphone w/ a fully working tablet combo.
Long story short? Not thinking we're getting Lolipop
