So as written in this thread my phone died, first thought was the battery... But after a long time trying to open it up, I found out that the battery and the rest of the hardware appears to be completely fine...
Now when I disconnect and reconnect the battery, and than connect the phone to my PC it's recognized as: RELINK HS-USB QDLoader 9008
There is a lot of info about this on the internet, but that info is mostly device specific, or the article states that I need specific device service ROMs...
Some tutorials allow me to get into the partitions of the device manually, but how do I get any images/files (maybe from a working A86)?
Or does anyone know of any other solutions now that I can get into some kind of emergency mode?
hi, I've got some questions: is the mainboard physically damaged? If it isn't, why they can't fix it with software? And, what is the reason of bricking our phone?
They can'even swap the mobo... I paid the 350 Euro's, today I got a call that they dn't have the mother board anymore... So I'll et it back unfixed (and I'll get my money back of course)...
Damn it... Just after I send my NPFI for repair I accidently stumbled across a better case for it, and I bought it... If the S2 is 5.5 that's a lot larger...
Do you think I should wait a few weeks? I'm currently using my old PF, but it's pretty annoying since I'm used to the much faster NPFI :S
And it's Android version is too low, so I can't use any smartwatches with it...
Dead zone in the display. Holding the tab on a certain place on one corner turns the screen of. (pressing the on-off button get the screen back to life.
Battery, not what it used to be.
I'm just wondering if i need a new tab, or should i go for a total different phone (just do not want a Samsung... everyone has one). and use the current padfone just as a tablet. Everything syncs nowadays. On the other hand i do not want to have 2 devices, keeping the battery charged etc. Choices choices
I'm looking for a used NPFI (there is one on the Dutch Marktplaats, but it's 16GB which is too low for me)... I don't care about damage since I can switch the motherboard in my own Padfone if it is too badly damaged...
I can always sell it for the same price and get an S2...
I think today I got the same issue, but for me the screen just went dark (backlight on). Like the app was hanging, so I left it for 5 minutes and then decided to do a force shutdown. Now it does not power on anymore.
I have had this situation two times before, but then the app closed down and I decided to do a reboot after which Android was hanging in the boot. A reflash of the firmware was necessary.
That doesn't really sound like my issue... My NPFI is in the Qualcomm emergency state... There is nothing to refresh without Qualcomm tooling...
I found a 32GB NPFI on eBay and bought it for 300USD (just the phone, nothing else, so I paid way too much but I just need a proper phone). Luckily the phone was in the same good shape as my own, so I'm good again...
I still have the bricked NPFI of course, so any suggestions on repairing it would be still be awesome...
I see, well I will start trouble shooting it from the beginning. Maybe there is some trigger in the process. I did notice that the battery seems to wear out a little, but I use heavy so after more than 2 years it does not surprise me.
If nothing works I will spend my money on the ZenFone 2 (4GB) I guess I am better off with a new phone with warranty and newer specs.
