I've been watching the padfone for months now. Past weeks, I've been watching extra closely and considered several options to buy it.

Each time I chose not to, due different reasons. My main problem is that it's not (yet?) sold in the Netherlands.

Someone asked ASUS Benelux on facebook and they replied that it might not be released here at all.

I've been looking at stores in spain, italy etc. but haven't found what I'm looking for. Perhaps someone here has had more luck and can help me out.

What I want:
- A full set (phone, dock, keyboard and stylus)
- 16GB or 32GB, either is fine.
- A price below €850,-
- Reliability (on price and delivery)

Can anyone advise me a store that can ship to the netherlands? Thanks!

As far as I am aware, the only place sold full set include keyboard and stylus is from Taiwan. The best bet is eBay it. There are few well known seller in TW

I'm Dutch, I bought mine via Taiwan, but I paid almost 1000 euros (including reduced taxes)...

But if Asus Benelux says that it won't be available here, I'm willing to try to resell the Padfone in Benelux, but I need some confidence that people will buy it...

Well, that completely depends on your price. If you're able to import them without having to pay the +20% VAT, it'll make a huge difference. I'd sign up for it.

From what I've seen, the seller Funnybom sells it for €819,-. If that could be imported without extra taxes, it's very much doable.

I bought from funnybom (price backthan was 879 + 90 VAT (19% over half price) + 17 for customs...

I will look into reselling Padfones in Benelux, if I can make profit for selling full sets 32GB for max 850, I'm in...

I know, it's still in my favorites
You can see that one is sold (EUR 879.00, Jun-03-12 08:48:39 PDT) that's me

I've sent a mail to funnybom to see what the price would be for a number of pieces... Only thing is the taxes because they ship from Taiwan...

Yeah. I'm not sure how well it'll work, but if you have them ship as warranty replacements, taxes shouldn't apply.

Because it's a rather big sum of money for me currently, I dare not take the chance myself.

Why would some-one get 10 warranty replacemtns I don't think they'll fall for that...

Maybe I can get 3 full sets 16GB without a stylus to start with... But the weekend just started, so I probably have to wait 'till monday to get replies back to all my mails...

Edit: People who are interested in buying via The Netherlands: http://www.padfoneclub.com/page.php?17

If we ship, we want to offer our buyers 2 year European warranty... But the only downside is that there is no repair centre in Europe according to Asus... I'm talking to several carriers atm... This page will be update as soon as we know more, and if we really are able to sell, we will post it on our news page (and we will contact our subscribers, they will get the first chance ofcourse)...

But please take note that we can't make any promise at this moment...

Edit, July 16th, 9:18PM: I currently have one carrier in Taiwan who can ship multiple full sets: Padfone 32GB + Padfone Station + Station Dock + Stylus Headset... I would be able to sell this for €849,- (please take note that these are Taiwanese Padfones, which means that the dock has Chinese symbols on the keys)... Selling without the dock could also be a possibility...

Mhh the symbols wouldn't bother me and with 2 year European warranty it is very attractive. But what I don't understand is the repair centers, where are all the TF101's and other ASUS tablets send to than???

I still have to talk with Asus about warranty and repair... The only thing I know now is that the repair ceters in Europe don't support the Padfone (according to Asus Netherlands)...

I think the matter on the EU support centers is temporary. After all, it's being sold officially in many EU countries already. A matter of time.

Have you got any information about the reselling yet?

Only the info I posted here, we still don't have enough entries to really sell... Some Dutch bloggers posted aobut this topic already, but so far we only got 3 interested people (I only count our mails)...
