Let us know how you go with it, Silvio.

In particular, I'm interested in...
  1. How thick the film is; can the 'phone still be docked into the station without scraping the film?
  2. How easy is it to apply?
  3. How easy is it to re-apply if you fudge it like I have a habit of doing?
  4. How easy is it to apply without getting dust trapped underneath?

Why this is so expensive in ebay? Asus Finland said in facebook that these will be available mid march at finland. I think i wait.

Ok, so i already got the product and installed it on my Padfone.

I got a package with the 2 screen protectors, along with a cleaning cloth and a visa-like card, where you have your warranty number and you use it to remove excessive water during applicance.

I followed the instructions from the video on ipg website and it all worked as expected.

During applicance, it was easy to adjust the protections for final touches. In the end, they look nice on the device, they have some bubbles that should get out in a couple of days. I still haven't turned on the device, so i can't tell you about screen feedback, but i will in a couple of hours.

So basically, looks nice a really good product, easy installation, lifetime warranty and pratically invisible on the device. Looks like a good buy.

Some pics:

Message was editted at 10:29AM:

Ok, first problem found.

after a couple of hours, i tried to insert the Phone on the Station, it entered correctly, it worked ok, the protection does not slow the input down, it is as responsive as ever, but... when i tried to remove the phone it was nearly impossible. I mean, it was like glued to the station.

I had to carefully lift the top of the phone and pull it with my nails t the same time as pushing on the bottom end of the phone.

It came out after a couple of seconds and there were no scratch or harm done.

I think that maybe it has to do with it beeing new so i will wayt another day or so to try it again, but the experience made me wonder if ever did IPG tested the thing on the device.

Does the screen protector mess up the colors on the screens? The one I'm currently using makes the screen look like it's covered in gasoline when I'm looking at white pictures. You know when you can see green, red and a bunch of other colors. It's rather hard to explain, but hopefully you know what I mean.

Yes it does. I am hoping it goes away in a couple of days. I have used bestskinsever on my blackberry and the effect was the same. After a couple of days it went away. The big problem now is removing from the station, it is really hard. I have emailed ipg but still no answer.

So after a couple of days, IPG sent me a message saying that it could be a defective product i received.

They offered to send a replacement product.

I doubt it will be any different than the first one, but i'll give it a try.

Well it's nice to see them trying to do the right thing; they definitely deserve credit for that - though I similarly suspect that it won't be any different; it's most likely the thickness of the film which is causing it to wedge in the dock.

So, has anyone found a good screen protector that doesn't mess up the screen? I really want to get rid of mine since it completely demolishes that beautiful display.

Are the colors better now that you've waited a while?
