New CHT 9.20.2.14firmware arrive by OTA, not shown in Asus web site yet.

Did you notice anything new? I updated our firmware page just before I left, I'm back hoem now and I'm installing atm

I read about from other user forum.

1. Camera firmware update to f09968
2. Launcher shortcut at top new Wifi Hotspot, battery mode
3. Zoom in/out with launcher page like HTC Sense.
4. Asus Task Manager has locked app option
5. Camera Shuttle sound option on/off add in again

Some users report long update time but seems relate to how many apps install on phone.

I've never had an update that took this long... how long did yours take?

I have not even try it yet while at office. Just doing backup for user apps as I have a feeling it might start from 9.18 again...

I installed the update within 10 minutes and without any problems. There is a new camera firmware, a new modem image and a new boot image included.

After an hour I removed the phone from the station, the phone as very hot, the screen didn't turn on, so I removed the battery... After that the phone booted straight into the update again, this time the update finished within a couple minutes... Everything seems fine, my camera firmware is also updated...

The full package is also available on the Asus website, but also a CHS version of the previous version... Anyone know anything about that?

Oh I also read about advice DO NOT run update while in Pad Station mode. Do it with the phone only.

CHS is for China version of Padfone.

i just updated mine. SparkyRih. Had the same problem as yours. stuck at the android figure screen. I removed the battery and it rerun. update then took less than 10 mins. And it's running now. Couple of changes noted as above.

I also note:

-Power Saving mode is enhanced
-Turning on and off mobile data option is available on pulldown menu
-infinite launcher scrolling (only in phone mode)
-The zooming function in launcher is exclusive to phone mode only

Root can stay with root keeper as before with update.
