I also notice another issue with this update, this one quite annoying.
It happened before on 4.0.4 but now it is worse. The standard sms app stops notifying of incoming messages. Before the update the phone would at least vibrate, but no notification would show up on screen. After the update it doesn't vibrate nor show any notification on screen...
This kind of sucks having to constantly open up the sms app to check for new messages...
Yeah, I´ve been having sync problems (sms and e-mail) pretty much since the beginning. No clue where this is coming from. But I wouldn´t say that it got worse under JB.

I have no problems with the uppdate, however.... I really really HATE google statusbar on the top... and I can't remove it... I will continue to look for a solution...
If you can live without google search, just disable it using Titanium.
I see a lot of differences when it comes to the JB update.. mine is working normally, and the tweaks/changes suits me more than ICS. they are annoyances (like the microSD icon permanently there and the weather widget font change/unchange) but not anything that disturbs the function of the phone..
regarding the Pad mode, so far no hiccups.. though one annoyance is that the 'tap side to swipe screen' may work in one instance and may not in the other.. i typically use swipe gesture so no big deal here..
there's a new firmware on the ASUS site for the HK SKU...
PadFone Firmware: V10.2.1.11 Only for HK SKU (Android 4.1) Improved: 1.OS upgrade to Android 4.1.1 2.Improve dictionary function 3.Improve Camera preview function 4.Improve Scrapbook function 5.Improve File Manager application 6.Improve Volume Key problem 7.Support SD card NTFS & EX Fat format
there is again one bug, I use SMART KEYBOARD PRO and if i put the phone to the station I must manually make a selection of keyboard because the keyboard is otherwise displayed at the incorrect size , this problem was fix in WW 9.20.4.22 and now is back
Running "Jelly Bean" I noticed my stock "Live Wallpapers" (such as the Asus Day Scene) randomly changes into a "Still Wallpaper" of the same still of the "Live Wallpaper." Or perhaps that's considered a crash. How do I prevent that from happening? Also..., who as the stock/preloaded Padfone (from ICS) "Grass Live Wallpaper" apk? The "Jelly Bean" update deleted mine. Strange... "Google Play" doesn't have it or its not the exact one. "Google Play" version doesn't have the "Green Little Fire Fly's" dancing like the preloaded Padfone on. Thanks.

Are you using Padfone Launcher Switcher? Before I had this problem when i used the launcher switcher, but as it has many bug with JB update,i just stick with the stock launcher and all bugs went gone.

I'm new to "Android" and I only had the "Padfone" for almost a month so..., I'm not sure what you mean by "Launcher Switcher." Forgive me ignorance.
I will say I run it "Stock!" Got 10 or 20 apps and I disabled a few apps I don't need after I research what they were. Like those apps in different language and a few "Live Wallpapers" I don't like but I did that after "JB" update. I launch the "Wallpaper" via the home screen...,you know by holding you finger on a blank space.
