Yesterday all my phone contacts disapeared... I havent sinhronised them with google so they are gone probably forever... I added one yesterday, and today it is also gone. I have a feeling it has someting to do with bad sinchronisation while I am conected with wifi.

Despite I want to smash somenes face, what do you sugest, factory reset?

Have you checked which of the contact list are being displayed? Maybe the contact list to which you added the new contact is hidden.

To check it go to contacts and on the settings check which ones are being shown under the option "Contacts to display".

I know this might be obvious (and sorry if it is) but better safe than sorry =)

there's another full pack available for download.
this time for RUS. suddly it's the same firmware No as the latest WWE one

PadFone Firmware: V10.2.1.9 Only for RUS SKU (Android 4.1)
improvement:
1. OS upgrade to Android 4.1.1
2. Improve dictionary function
3. Improve Camera preview function
4. Improve Scrapbook function
5. Improve File Manager application
6. Improve Volume Key problem
7. Support SD card NTFS & EX Fat format

P.S
has anyone tried this one?
PadFone Firmware: V10.2.1.11 Only for HK SKU (Android 4.1)
it has a higher version number, so maybe it's somewhat improved..?

Overall, I'm very pleased by the JB Update (much smoother, no bugs for my day-to-day usage except the below). However, I have two issues I would like to find out if they are related to the update:
1. The compass does not seem to work anmore (was not very good before, but now it seems to show random directions)
2. In tablet mode, I have strange graphic issues in Google Maps (some kind of black lines flickering at the streets). This does not occur in phone mode).

Anyone else having similar issues?

Cheers,
NM

Sorry guys - I've reverted to 4.0.4 (the last update before the JB) - I was missing my call recording and the phone was laggy ... battery life dreadfull and I had some flanky problems with the Music Player - it either gave Unable to play message, or just refuse to output to the headphones ...

So ... when there is a next JB I'll waiting for your feedback.

Who has the stock/preloaded Padfone (from ICS 4.0.3) "Grass Live Wallpaper" apk? The one in the "Google Play" store isn't the same.

Yep. I've experienced number 2. I would say it happen about 3 times now in tablet mode, not in phone mode.

Cheers,

why don't you extract the 4.0.3 package and pick it up manually?

Didn't know that you can. The Padfone is my first Android phone and I only had it for a month now. I'm a noob so how do you do that, or is there a guide on how to do it? Thanks.

Just extract everything and you will find it at the app folder inside the system folder
