try setting your rooter at 1-11 channel not 12-13..

I also have this problem. I already set the channel to 9, but this didn't fix it. But it seems to be a problem with the encryption. When I turn it off, then my phone connects to the wifi network. With WPA or WPA2 it doesn't work

Btw I did a factory reset after updating to Jelly Bean

Yes. The phone signal status bar is white.
Do you mean my wifi rooter? It can't be the routers fault, because my laptop catches wifi, but my phone not

do you mean that if you set your router as a free network without password you have no issues?

when i changed the channel to 11, i didn't had that issue since..

Exactly! When I turn off the router's encryption my Padfone connects to the router without any problems.
Before I updated my phone to JB it connected perfectly even with WPA2 encryption turned on.

I don't remember to ever had a problem with my MiFi using WPA-PSK (TKIP) at channel 11.
On my house WiFi on the other hand using WEP-128 and channel 13 i had issues most often. Since i changed to channel 11 it seems to be ok.

My problem solved itself. Turned out that everything was okay again when the battery died and I had to charge it to turn it on again. And after that everything works perfect!
