I think widgets on lockscreen is worth upgrading too.
I also reckon this will be the last update for PadFone 2. 4.1 update was the last update for the original PadFone after PadFone 2 was released, and now that PadFone Infinity is released, it all makes sense..
agree on lockscreen, about if it's the last update i hope not, padfone2 is a pretty powerfull device guess it will support at least android 5.0 easilly... But let's guess asus will not support padfone 2 with android 5.0 is it possible for the community to make a custom room with that version of android?
Has anyone heard anything about 4.2 on the PadFone 2?
Also I saw some videos on the new camera app on YouTube and I didn't see spherecam. What do you think? Will they skip the only feature that is worth updating to 4.2?

Many sources believe that we'll have it in Q2 2013 so we won't have to wait that long. I also reckon this will be the last update for PadFone 2. 4.1 update was the last update for the original PadFone after PadFone 2 was released, and now that PadFone Infinity is released, it all makes sense..
Nah, according to Asus Sweden PadFone 2 will get at least one more update after 4.2.
Asus sweden wrote as a facebook comment some hours ago that Asus might not update to 4.2 on PF2 but jump straight to Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie when that is relased. might be good news
Good news my a..... If you substract the pr ****, you just end up with the assumption, that asus ceased the support of PF2, but there may be some update end of this year, if the community cries loud enough, just like with PF1. Wich i would not wonder about, since most mobiles also dont get more than 6 months support after market entry.
I surely expect more than 6 months of support for my Padfone 2, Im expecting atleast 18 months like Google try to make standard. The Padfone2 certainly have addequite hardwarespecs. Plenty of ram and CPU/GPU - theres no reason why it wouldent be updated.
My old Samsung Galaxy SII has continuesly received support and updates for almost 2 years now, just as example, going from originally gingerbread, to ice cream sandwich, to jelly bean.

Stop being such a pessimist, the PadFone 1 sold like ****, whereas the PadFone 2 was a "success".
Furthermore, I admire your deductive reasoning skills, considering the fact that Asus released a new firmware update today. It's the seventh or something like that I've received since I bought my PadFone 2 in December, and so far we've received regular updates from Asus ever since the release of the device.
I can therefore not see why you'd think they're cutting off support for the device.
So far ASUS has done a very good job in terms of updates for the PF2 ... lets just hope that it doesn't happen like the PF1 and get ditched because of the infinity
Asus has confirmed via their Facebook page that the PadFone 2 will not receive 4.2. It will however be updated with Android 4.3 as fast as possible when that version is released.

ASUS Sverige Hej Daniel, vi kommer på gott och ont hoppa över 4.2 för att kunna släppa 4.3 snabbare men det innebär självklart att vi måste hålla ut lite till. MVH, ASUS Anders
I don't know If I feel disappointed or happy about it, because this means that we are not getting a newer version of android anytime soon, but at least we will see 4.3 on our PadFones.
I hope that this is not a lie though just to take our minds off the 4.2 for a couple more months and actually never receive any updates
