This looks very promising! Unfortunately, I don´t have too much time right now to unlock, install recovery and test ROMs. (Which is actually kinda sad considering how big of a flashmaniac I was before the Padfone.)
Now, anyway...

Asus Keyboard is already deleted in my rom, so you just have to download Swype. I left only the AOSP Keyboard.
Doesn´t that mean that the default language for the hardware keyboard is always set to english?
Also, another idea: One thing that I just don´t like about JB is that the ring tone volume is now seperated from the notification volume. Would it be possible to somehow link them again? I mean there´s no need to change the UI or anything...just link them. The problem is I think there might be a lot of people who prefere those volumes to be unlinked. So, this might be a possible feature for a future Aroma-featured build?

I will try to do this later, will add-it to my to-do list.
I don't know for the hardware keyboard, I don't have it :S
I flash my Padfone almost 15times a day since the V1, I'm trying to get another phone, because it isn't practical to use my everyday phone to do the development...
Otherwise everything seems to work fine, very smooth and responsive. Only thing to pick on would be the nova launcer. i havent figured out yet how to tweak it work in both phone and tablet mode, so it would look good and would be usable! Great Job keep it up and hope to see updates soon!
Sweet stuff! I'll be keeping my eye on this one! I'll leave the same request here as I did in Sparky's thread; Android 4.2 and CWM!
I won't do CWM, this isn't my job and I don't have sufficient skills to do this. Android 4.2 will maybe be adapted, but once everything is working fine only

Your problem seems really strange, I don't have this kind of problem, I will check if any configuration can be causing this... I'm trying to find a way to have a completely working launcher, but I can't find one working in both mode, so I will maybe stick to the Asus launcher...

Could you provide the kernel source? I would like to try to build some drivers, such as usb ethernet.
you won't be able to have both modes with only one launcher.. i don't know if it's possible or easy, but if so the best solution would be to use 2 launchers with automatic swithing when switching mode.. Nova for the phone and Apex for the tablet (it has a tablet mode option) or in the worst case scenario Nova or Apex on the phone and stock for the tablet.. my only problem with the custon launchers is that they use to much resorses, and that is all the time.. i don't know if they are cooked as part of the system if they will work more "lightly"..

I was able to get some kind of hybrid launcher, but it's taking me too much time for only one enhancement... Padfone launcher Switcher is able to do this, but I hate this app... Custom launchers use way less resources than the stock launcher, and are closed when you don't use them, stock launcher don't... So yes, custom launcher are ( not always, but most of the time) lighter than the stock launcher
