Its price is really low.

9999 taiwanese dollars are about 250€, or a little more than 320 US dollars. For the specs it's very good.

This PadFone S has been announced some time ago though, it's supposed to be the international version of the PadFone X. Its specs are a little better though (Snapdragon 801 instead of Snapdragon 800, wireless charging, etc).

was about to give a go for a NPI but i must admit that this release make me in front of a hard choice

beware its a stationless version

i'm wondering how must taxes i should add..

on a side note, the padstation of the S is the same of the X (with the front speaker?) it's not the version of the padfone 2/infinity?

For my PFI (460€) I had to pay 51€ in taxes. In France too.

And yes PadStation is the same as PFX.

What bothers me is the 9" screen.
But the sound would be probably louder.

For me the 9" is not problem. What I like specially on Padfone S is the supposed splashproofness.
But who knows what one must pay for it here in Finland when it is officially released here.
Currently one of the biggest computer sellers here sells NPFI for 499,90 €.
Hard choice between buy and wait.
